Worship and Music Ministries
With Vatican II, the Catholic Church declared that full, conscious and active participation in the liturgy by all people “is the aim to be considered before all else” because that is how we learn our faith and develop a true Christian spirit. When we celebrate liturgy well, our faith is strengthened, our love for God grows and our concern for the less fortunate is deepened. Everyone is invited to participate in the various ministries that serve our liturgies.
Lectors serve our community by proclaiming the Scripture readings at liturgy. Lectors also lead the assembly in the General Intercessions as well as offering announcements at the end of Mass as needed.
All Lectors are expected to possess a love and respect for the scriptures; attend liturgy on a regular basis; complete training at the Parish; be willing to participate in ongoing formation throughout the year; and spend time reflecting on the scriptures and practicing prior to proclamation.

Ministers of Hospitality
Ministers of Hospitality serve our gathered assembly by ensuring a welcoming environment where people meet without fear and, united in Christ we truly can become “the Body of Christ.”
Ministers of Hospitality must be gracious and hospitable and enjoy interacting with people; and be willing to arrive 20 to 30 minutes prior to liturgy to ensure that the church is ready. Duties may include: greeting at the door and handing out the bulletin, taking up the collection, choosing individuals to present the gifts, and bidding people farewell at the end of liturgy.
